The Ottawa Senators have prolonged the contract of normal supervisor Pierre Dorion via the 2024-25 season, it was introduced Tuesday.
It was the second three-year extension for Dorion, who had been signed via the 2021-22 season after a deal in February 2018.
“Relationship to when he was named GM in 2016, Pierre has labored tirelessly in direction of constructing a corporation that may compete with the Nationwide Hockey League’s greatest,” Senators proprietor Eugene Melnyk mentioned in an announcement. “He is devoted, detailed and maintains a sound hockey thoughts. Dorion, 49, joined his hometown group in 2007 because the membership’s chief beginner scout. He later served because the director of participant personnel and as an assistant GM earlier than being elevated to normal supervisor.
The Senators missed the playoffs final season after posting a 23-28-5 file.
