HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) – A volunteer at New Life Church & Ministries in Hillsboro was killed in an accident Friday afternoon.
A witness says the incident occurred round 12:45 p.m. on the church property on State Route 247 on the entrance of a line of autos for the meals pantry.
Deputies with the Highland County Sheriff’s Workplace say that 63-year-old Sandy Ray was hit by a automotive pushed by 72-year-old Robert Hester.
Ray was placing a cone down in entrance of a truck, and the driving force didn’t see her, in response to Linda Bowman, the assistant pastor at New Life, who witnessed what occurred.
Deputies say that Ray was taken to Highland District Hospital, the place she was pronounced useless.
Bowman says Ray, who’s from Adams County, had been a volunteer on the meals financial institution for the previous 15 years.
