Flames’ Coleman suspended for boarding Harkins

NEW YORK — Calgary Flames ahead Blake Coleman was suspended for one preseason recreation and one regular-season recreation with out pay Thursday for boarding Winnipeg Jets ahead Jansen Harkins.

Coleman was assessed a minor penalty for boarding at 6 minutes, 15 seconds of the second interval within the Flames’ 3-2 preseason loss at Winnipeg on Wednesday evening.

The suspension will price Coleman $24,500. He signed a six-year contract with the Flames through the offseason after serving to Tampa Bay win the previous two Stanley Cup titles.
